This week at Wes Sewell Photography

July 29th, 2011

Never is there a  dull moment in this studio! We started the week out in full swing, attending a GPPA (Georgia’s Professional Photographers Association) conference on Sunday for a day in the life of other photographer. We had a blast and learned a lot! We returned home full of new ideas and excitement for the coming months!

Then the work week came around on Monday, with a full week of photo shoots, editing and designing articals, as well as bridal consults! Now, to finish the afternoon’s photo session and prepare for yet, another busy weekend filled with work. At least we say it’s work, we LOVE photography, so it seems a little difficult to call it “work” when we love it so much!

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Wes Sewell Photography- Behind the Scenes

July 21st, 2011

A few months ago we met Jared and Rebekah of OwlTrain Productions. These guys are in the elite group of Videographers, we love them and love working with them. A while back, we came up with the idea of a “Behind-the-scenes” video. We wanted to flim this video on the day we also would be shooting a wedding. When our own photograher, Elisabeth, became engaged and went with OwlTrain Productions to film her big day, we knew this would be our perfect chance.

June 24, 2011, 8:00 a.m. we bagan filming. Jared and Rebekah filmed us in every shot and location we were photographing. We had the best time, and we also learned alot about the videography business. After reviewing the footage from the wedding. We decided to add in the studio shoot. We called in all our employees and had the time of our lives! We laughed until we cried when we were asked to make a “serious face” for the camera!

The studio session was quick and easy. We anxiously awaited the finished product! When we finally received it we were thrilled beyond words! We love it and hope all our fans do too! Click the link below to see our video!

Amy & Blake’s Awesome Wedding

July 24th, 2009

Last weekend we traveled to St. Simon’s Island for the nuptials of Amy Pilgrim and Blake Whitehead. We started their wedding day off early. One of us went with the guys to photograph them playing paint ball and the other stayed at the hotel with the girls as they were pampered and got ready. Everything was going just as planned and beautifully. The bride look stunning and the groom very nice as well. It then came time for the wedding and about 5 minutes into it it started pouring down rain. But that did not keep our bride and groom from saying their ” I do’s”. Though everyone ended up soaking wet it was an amazing wedding followed by a beautiful reception. Thank-you guys for such a wet….we mean great experience!!!

Kelly and Joel Pittsley

June 3rd, 2009

May 30, 2009, we photographed the wedding of Kelly Hutchinson and Joel Pittsley at Forrest Park Church of Christ here in Valdosta. The wedding party was a ton of fun and the families of both the bride and groom were so warm and welcoming. We got to spend 5 hours with Kelly and Joel before the wedding and the result was an awesome collection of photographs.

Kelly has a little help prior to us beginning photographs.

Bianca & Eric Thomas

May 27th, 2009

Saturday, May 23, 2009, we photographed the wedding of Bianca and Eric Thomas at St. John’s here in Valdosta. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and the love between Bianca and Eric radiated thoughout the entire ceremony and reception. They were such a joy to be around and we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding party with which to work. They say pictures are worth a thousand words, so we will let the photographs speak for themselves. Congratulations to Bianca and Eric!

Zach & Margie’s Vow Renewal

May 19th, 2009

On Saturday, May 9, 2009 we were given an opportunity to capture the vow renewal of Zach and Margie Wincey in Hahira. It was a hot afternoon but that didn’t matter. Zach and Margie were the kindest and most precious couple ever seen.

They are coming up on 45 years of marriage and still going strong. There are not many people that have a long, admirable marriage like these two.

Their ceremony was held right in their very own front yard. All of their family and friends watched as they rode in on a golf cart and got ready to say their vows again.

After saying their vows they then sat in rocking chairs and were greeted by everyone in attendance.

They then hosted a reception with finger licking good barbecue. The entire family enjoyed themselves and so did we.

Congratulations Zach & Margie!

Title Drink Premier

May 7th, 2009

Last week we had an opportunity like no other. We were invited to photograph the premier of the newest face in energy drinks. This drink named after Titletown will be Gatorade’s newest threat. The drink named “Title” comes in three delicious flavors and was a hit by all.

This drink is going to made right here in Titletown. In fact it actually has a picture of the Titletown trophy on the label. It is packed with so many electrolytes that it actually has enough energy to light up a light bulb.

Many locals gathered at Bas Bleu to try this new tasty beverage and had a chance to rub elbows pro-athletes including pro-baseball, pro-football, and WNBA players at the premier.

This drink (Title)  is going to help further entrench Valdosta’s position as Titletown USA!!!

On April 25th we traveled up the street to the Crescent for the exchange of nuptuals between Kim Hall and Sam Orwig. The wedding was absolutely beautiful. Located in the garden of the Crescent the weather could not have been more perfect for this amazing wedding. Congratulations Kim & Sam!!
