Wes Sewell Biography Page

Voted Best Photographer for the Valdosta area in 2008, Wes Sewell is a native of South Georgia, where he grew up riding motorcycles, playing sports, drawing, and making people laugh. He experimented with photography while pursuing a second undergraduate degree in art at Valdosta State University (B.F.A. in art, 1997; B.B.A. in management 1990). That experimentation later led to the creation of Wes Sewell Photography.

Known for wedding photography and portraits, Wes enjoys watching the world through his camera lens, capturing reality and enhancing natural beauty. Wes Sewell Photography is located in downtown Valdosta with a large studio that lends itself to a variety of uses.

His images have been published by Valdosta Magazine, Where to Retire Magazine, Nspire Magazine, American Cheerleader, Progress, Southwest Georgia Living, Valdosta State University, Valdosta Daily Times, Professional Association of Georgia Educators, Wild Adventures, City of Valdosta, and Baskerville Publishers (for the cover of Janice Daugharty’s Just Doll). Wes has won several awards for his work. One of his images was featured on the cover of the Colson calendar. He is a member of the Professional Photographers Association and the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International.
